Join us for our 5th Reunion – Homecoming on Saturday, November 5th, 2022.

We enjoyed getting together in the spring, and it is now time for our official reunion. I know doing a baseball game confused some of us, but it was to kickoff a season of 5-year festivities. Links for each of the homecoming events and schedule are listed below.

The Bulldogs will be playing Chattanooga along with the usual Homecoming events of Open Barracks, Parade, and the March-on. We will be setting up a tailgate area adjacent to the Citadel Young Alumni in the Altman lot to be home base a couple hours ahead of the game. We are working on logistics, but for a fee we will be providing the spots, food and libations. The big deal with this is we will NOT be inside the stadium (those reunion spots don't open till an hour before the game, require you to buy game tickets, along with some other rules. However, to participate in the March on, you MUST purchase a game ticket).

We also have the opportunity to participate in the greatest party of every year, The Stray Dog Society's Homecoming Jamboree on Friday, November 4th from 7-11pm. If you went senior year or are a Stray Dog yourself you know what I mean. We will have a class code for any of our classmates to purchase tickets (usually open to Stray Dog Members... If you are interested in being a member of the Stray Dog Society let me know). It is the largest Citadel homecoming party. It consists of a great band, great food, open bar, and great people.

Prior to the Jamboree, and after Friday’s Twilight Parade, the Alumni Association will be hosting a Young Alumni Happy Hour at 5:15pm which is free and located at the Holliday Alumni Center.

For the reunion, we will also be kicking off fundraising for the Class of 2017 Scholarship. This scholarship will directly help cadets on campus and build upon our legacy. It will set a preference to children and family of the Class of 2017 when the time comes, but until then will be distributed by the financial aid office to cadets exhibiting financial needs and merits per their normal protocol.

Our reunion committee has begun to discuss all of this and more, and if you are interested in volunteering to help with planning, day of check in, set up, or anything else please reach out.

Otherwise mark your calendars and we will see you back in Charleston!

Class of 2017,
In honor of our reunion, we have created some 2017 branded apparel for you to purchase. The store has several options from T-shirts, hoodies, polos, and more. To access the storefront, please follow this link: https://www.citadel2017.com/2017-Store.htm . You have the option to either pick it up or have it delivered. Production and shipping can take up to 10 business days, so if you are attending the reunion, we recommend selecting the free pick-up option and grabbing your items from the committee either Friday night or Saturday morning. To best ensure that your apparel will be ready for homecoming, we recommend that you make your purchase as soon as possible. If you have any questions regarding the store, please contact James Bresette at (301) 661-8506.
Sincerely,
The Reunion Committee

Class letter 09/30/2022

I hope this letter finds you well and in good health! On November 5th we will be celebrating our 5th Homecoming Reunion and hope that everyone who can make it is there. Our spring reunion was a great success, so I have no doubt we expand upon that. The reunion committee currently consists of Blake Duke, Connor Grady, Austin Nuttall, Joe Bove, Chris Gibson, and me. If you are interested in volunteering to help with the reunion, please let one of us know.

I wanted to provide a tentative rundown of homecoming weekend to help you prepare.

For the reunion, we will also be fundraising for the Class of 2017 Scholarship. This scholarship will directly help cadets on campus and build upon our legacy. I would love to see our class have a participation rate of 20% or higher. Any donation is greatly appreciated and will count to the overall goal. However, if you can, I ask that you consider a gift of $20.17/month.

We have also created a class website that we encourage you all to sign up for: citadel2017.com. This website will serve as a place that we will post all the details about Homecoming weekend to include links to tickets and a directory of classmates. When you access the site, please complete a profile set up. Should only take a few minutes.

If you have any questions you would like to ask me personally or updates that you want to see in the fall newsletter, you can contact me through social media, my cell (301) 661-8506, or email at bresettej@citadelfoundation.org. Thank you for your time and I wish you all the best.

Respectfully,

        James Bresette

So I am apparently months behind on making a post about the great time we all had for the Reunion baseball game. It was great to see everyone that was able to come, and I hope y'all enjoyed it! We are now gearing up for our true 5th Year Reunion - Homecoming.

Homecoming this year will be on Saturday, November 5th, where the Bulldogs will be playing Chattanooga along with the usual Homecoming festivus of Open Barracks, Parade, and the March-on. We will be setting up a tailgate area adjacent to the Citadel Young Alumni in the Altman lot to be home base a couple hours ahead of the game. We are working on logistics, but for a fee we will be providing the spots, food and libations. The big deal with this is we will NOT be inside the stadium (those reunion spots don't open till an hour before the game, require you to buy game tickets, along with some other rules).

It is the largest Citadel homecoming party, and we will have a dedicated area in the back. It consists of a great band, great food, open bar, and great people. https://thestraydogsociety.org/events/# When you go to buy tickets our code is " citadel17 "
Our reunion committee has begun to discuss all of this and more, and if you are interested in volunteering to help with planning, day of check in, set up, or anything else please reach out.

Otherwise mark your calendars and we will see you back in Charleston!

Let me know if you have any questions.
